Only a handful of hours after Barack Obama had been chosen to be next president of the United States of America, I was playing some pickup basketball at a local recreation center. After I had finished a couple of games (lost them both) and worked up a decent sweat, I wandered away from the court to catch my breath. An elderly man with a slight hunch shuffled toward me. He was wearing a skinny blue and white T-shirt that read, “Jews for Obama.”
