(From Vent About Sports)

The Chicago White Sox are going to take full advantage of having a fan of theirs as President of the United States. The White Sox and New Era have designed a baseball cap that features President Obama’s last name on the side and on the back of the cap. The fitted hat version has “Obama” written on the side, while the adjustable version has “Obama” written on the back. Before these hats can be produced however, the President must give the OK to use his name on them. If the hats are produced, proceeds from their sale will be donated to charities likely tied to Chicago.

Since Obama was elected President, the sale of White Sox hats has gone up about 25%. Obama would frequently been seen wearing his favorite White Sox hat during and after the campaign. The White Sox even tried to give him a new hat, but he declined. The White also said they have future marketing campaigns tied to President Obama in the works but would not go into details. I don’t remember these kinds of marketing campaigns when Bush was elected President, and he used to own the Texas Rangers. We all knew Bush was a sports fan, but he didn’t emphasize it as much as President Obama has. If he brings a playoff to College Football, he can stay in office as long as he wants.
