Some News About President Obama’s Less Publicized Women’s Picks

Hail to the Chief – Not Geno, President Obama
The Office of Homeland Huskies has just gotten off the phone with the home office in Washington.
Bulletin: A spokesman for President Obama tells the Courant this morning that he selected the University of Connecticut to win the national championship in the women’s basketball bracket he filled out, with obviously much less publicity, as the men’s bracket he did for ESPN.
“The President thinks the University of Connecticut is a fine institution with a great basketball team,” the spokesman said.
The spokesman did not know what other teams President Obama included in his Final Four, but said he’s likely kicking himself a little for not giving more love to the UConn men’s team – although his choice to win the title, North Carolina, has made it to Detroit.
Sources tell the Courant, however, that Seton Hall was not one of the President’s other picks for the women’s Final Four.
Hopefully, more details will surface should the Huskies head to St. Louis.
Editor’s Note:
We can’t tell if this post is real or satire. However, it’s probably real since John Altavilla is the UConn women’s basketball beat writer for the Courant.
