Not first time Nintendo has been in White House

WASHINGTON – First Wii? President-elect Barack Obama’s family will have the popular Nintendo gaming console with them when they move to the White House.

Obama gave his daughters, Malia and Sasha, a Wii for Christmas. But he himself has been spending some time playing the Wii Sports bowling game, according to the New York Times.

Unlike his smooth moves on the basketball court , how is he with bowling? On the campaign trail last March, Obama bowled a gutterball at an alley in Altoona, Pa. With the Wii though, he told the New York Times he’s doing much better.

This isn’t the first time Nintendo will be infiltrating the White House. Nintendo sent President George W. Bush a copy of the game Brain Age for his 60th birthday, according to gaming site Joystiq.com . No word on whether Bush actually played the game.
